Amanaji phutti
rate fixed
RECORDER REPORT
HYDERABAD: The rate of Amanaji Phutti (seed cotton), kept by growers with ginners up to January 24, 2000, has been fixed at Rs. 600 per 40 kg.
The decision on this effect was taken at a joint meeting of the representatives of growers, ginners and the Agriculture Extension Department, here under the chairmanship of the Hyderabad Commissioner Imtaiz Kazi.
It was also decided that the ginning charges will continue to be deducted at Rs 210 per three maunds of phutti. Moreover, deduction on account of BORA and trash will not be more than two kilogrammes.
It was further decided that no arbitrary deduction will be made by the ginners on the pretext of Octroi duty, etc.
The commissioner instructed that meeting regarding fixation of ginning charges for the next season should be held before the commission of ginning in Sindh.
Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner Rizwan Ahmed said the district administration will ensure recovery of excess charges by ginners for weight or other deductions
Among others, the meeting was also attended by Sindh Agriculture Extension Director General Aftab Ahmed Soomro and representatives of growers and ginners, and senior officers of the Agriculture Extension Department.
