Inflated trading on Jodia Bazar
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Volume of business inflated on Jodia Bazar already of two-day closure Ñ Kashmir Day and weekly "off" Ñ, traders said.
Trading was mostly done at unchanged level but variations were marked in teas and plastic mouldings.
Plastic mouldings: Compound HDPE film HDPE 952 rose by 25 paisa to Rs 28, Korea 3080 up by same amount to Rs 28, Mobil gained 50 paisa to Rs 28.25, TR 144 up by 15 paisa to Rs 27.75, Asrene rose sharply to be quoted at Rs 27.75, and Rs 6,888 down by 25 paisa to Rs 27.50. HDPE injection Ladene 200056 rose by 25 paisa to Rs 29, Escorene rose by same amount to Rs 29 but Thai lost 25 paisa to Rs 28.50. HDPE below 6007 dropped Re 1 to Rs 27.50, 6400 dropped 75 paisa to Rs 27.50, Mobil retreated by Rs 1.50 to Rs 27.50, and 5202 shed Rs 1.25 to Rs 27.75. LDPE Thai was quoted at Rs 28 and Korea rose by 25 paisa to Rs 28 and Lotrene 0374 dropped Re 1 to Rs 28. Polypropylene film Thai rose by Rs 1.38 to Rs 24, Indonesia rose by same amount to Rs 24 and Kwuait was up by Rs 1.38 to Rs 24. Polypropylene injection grade Saudia shed 25 paisa to Rs 23.25 and Yuplene shed same amount to Rs 23.25. Polystyrene high impact Polyrex and Saudia gained by Rs 1.50 to Rs 33. Polystrene GP Saudia up by Rs 100 to Rs 1,800, and Polyrex up by Rs 50 to Rs 1,800.
Teas from Kenya, Bangladesh, China and Rwanda experienced variations. Tea from Kenya PF-1 plus C grade rose by Rs 3 to Rs 190, Bangladesh's Gulam up by same amount to Rs 108, China's green 25101 rose by Rs 15 to Rs 125 and Rwandan PF-1 (CTC) rose by Rs 9 to Rs 185.
