IIU's Board of Trustees meets on 6th

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the International Islamic University (IIU) has been rescheduled and now will be held on February 6 instead of February 5.

President Rafiq Tarar, Chancellor of the university will chair the meeting.

According to the University sources, the meeting was rescheduled because of Kashmir day.

The meeting will discuss various important issues including the financial position of the University, the recent academic developments, affiliation rules and the developments regarding the establishment of the University's new headquarters.

The trustees of the university represent a galaxy of scholars, intellectuals, philanthropists and leaders of other fields from the international Muslim community.

They have been playing a vital role in the construction and development of the University for the last 20 years.

It is expected that more than 20 members of the BOT will participate in the meeting including the president of Al-Azhar University of Egypt.

On February 6, these members will also visit University's new campus site at Sector H-10, Islamabad to review its construction work.ÑAPP
