FAISALABAD: Some unidentified armed men barged into the house of a local trader, Shaukat Hayat, in late hours on Wednesday night at Z Block in Gulistan Colony and after holding house inmates at gun-point they looted articles and ornaments worth millions of rupees.

They made their good escape in the cover of darkness.

In another dacoity a local business man, Bashir Ahmed, was deprived of prize bonds, worth about Rs 80,000 by two motor-cyclists at gun point in Jinnah Colony, here on Thursday evening.

The armed men fled away after committing this broad-daylight dacoity. No arrest has so far been made.
