ISLAMABAD: The ambassadors-designate of Republic of Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Norway and Uruguay separately presented their credentials to President Mohammad Rafiq Tarar here on Wednesday.

Ambassador-designate of Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Bekzhasar N. Narbayev, ambassador-designate of Switzerland Christian Dunat, ambassador-designate of Norway Tore Toreng and ambassador-designate of Uruguay Dr. Agustin Espinosa Lloveras presented credentials at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Earlier, the envoys-designate separately arrived at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in a state coach. A smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour. National anthems of Pakistan and the envoys' respective countries were also played on the occasion.

Later, the envoys separately called on President Mohammad Rafiq Tarar and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.

Foreign Secretary Shamshad Ahmed was also present during the meetings.ÑAPP
