SADIQABAD: The Khanpur cricle police have recovered 55 kg opium and 15 kg hashish from a pick-up coming from Peshawar.

DSP Khanpur, Anis Khan Lodhi told pressmen that the SHO Saddar Khanpur had also recovered 4 kg hashish, 344 bottles of liquor and drug haul worth Rs 6 lakh in the recent anti-crime campaign.

He disclosed that the Zahirpir and Khanpur city police rounded up various criminals involved in the narcotics trade, and recovered stolen goods including a moterbike (RNL 6623) a dozen sewing machines, and a Klashnikov.

The DSP declared that "Khanpur police will continue to keep a tight check on crime and criminals, to further improve law and order in the region.ÑAPP
