DMC East compiling sanitary workers photo directory

KARACHI: The preparation of photographic directory of Health Department of DMC East is in progress at the computer department and will be completed in a fortnight.

The directory being compiled on the directives of Administrator Tahir Khursheed, will contain the details about sanitary workers in 56 'Halqas' with their photograph, places of deployment, employment number and Halqa number.

According to Tahir Khursheed this would ensure the on-ground presence of sanitary workers and facilitate anyone to check them.

He said every sanitary worker would be on duty in a jacket already provided to them, whereas no worker would work in the workshop without being in specified uniform. He said any sanitary and workshop worker found violating the instructions, would be considered absent from duty and his salary would be deducted.

He said the DMC was also computerising the department-wise details of number of sanitary workers, electric poles and street lights, playgrounds and parks, the length of various roads and streets in the district and the number of various types of vehicles, etc.

Tahir Khursheed said that map-wise details of conditions of roads and streets were also being computerised.

He said the complaint cell was working day-and-night and it was facilitating the people in getting their complaints registered. It was being ensured that the complaints of urgent nature were redressed immediately.

He said homework about repair of roads and streets was being finalised and the complaints thereof would be overcome within the available funds and resources. APP
