Indian army enters AJK village: 14 slaughtered

MUZAFFARABAD: Indian army commandos entered Langot Bubi village at the Line of Control (LoC) in Nakial Sector of southern district Kotli on Thursday night and slaughtered 14 people, including five children and six women, officials told here on Friday.
The commandos, barged into two houses in Langot Bubi village, 400 metres of LoC at mid night and opened indiscriminate firing on sleeping inmates.
Returning after the completion of the brutal act, they beheaded a slaughtered woman and two men and took away the skulls.
The dead were identified as: Mohammed Alam, son of Mirwali Sudden, 90; Mohammed Murtaza, son of Abdul Hammed, 29; his wife Kali Begum, 27; Molvi Faiz, son of Sher Mohammed, 30; Mohammed Ishtaq, son of Mohammed Hussian, 24; his younger brother Mohammed Ikhlaq, 6; Sarwar Begum, wife of Abdul Hammed, 55; Hafeeza Begum, daughter of Abdul Hammed, 30; Gulzar Begum, widow of Fatha Sher, 60; Khurashid Begum, wife of Niaz Akthar, 30; Perveen Akthar, wife of Mohammed Younas, 30; her childern, Hammad Niaz, 2; Farhad Niaz, 10; Sehar Younas daughter of Mohammed Younas.
Only two, including a four-year old child, survived out of four injured who were brought to DHQ Kotli on Friday morning.
Those beheaded were Mohammed Alam, Mohammed Murtaza and Kali Begum.
When people of the adjoining areas received the information they reported the incident to the police.
Till the filing of this report burial could not be taken place owing to Indian firing on the village.
District administration and army officials reached the spot soon after receiving the information.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) took the Islamabad based foreign and local newsmen to the area.
Meanwhile, AJK government has condemned the massacre and announced a two-day state mourning - Saturday and Sunday - during which state flag would remain at half-mast, while protest demonstration and rallies would be held against the gruesome murders.
It was second incident in two month. Last month Indian commandos had slaughtered four including three women and a four-year-old child, and kidnapped the head of the family in a village in Forward Kahuta sector of south eastern district Bagh, some 190 kms from here.
