A G Riza remembered

KARACHI: A meeting largely attended by the officers and staff of the Pakistan Insurance Corporation to condole the death and offer "Fateha" for the departed soul of A G Riza, former managing director of PIC, was held at PIC Towers, says a press release.

Everybody recounted the services of late A G Riza and paid tribute to the former Civil Servant and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant members of the bereaved family courage and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity.

A G Riza was a member of the All India Civil Service (ICS) and later at the time of partition of the Indo-Pak Sub-continent opted for Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) and rose to the rank of secretary to the Government of Pakistan. He had held various important positions with both federal/central and provincial governments including chairman, National Tariff Commission.

Riza also served as managing director of Pakistan Insurance Corporation during 1968-1970.
