CBR to hire PR consultants

ISLAMABAD: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) after abolishing its own public relations department invited bids from the leading national and international PR firms to take the job, sources in the board told Fortuna on Thursday.

Sources said a total of about half-a-dozen agencies were competing for the contract that is likely to be awarded within three weeks.

The PR firm will perform the task of credibly projecting the board and its field formation, playing a role in motivating people to pay taxes, help in providing up to-date information about payment of taxes, and ultimately help in the creation of an improved tax culture.

The CBR only recently abolished the posts of member and secretary, Public Relations in its rightsizing drive to cut administrative expenses. Fortuna
