10 more witnesses testify in serial killing case
LAHORE: Ten more witnesses including a policeman on Thursday appeared before the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Lahore, and recorded their statements in serial killing case.
The court will open audio and video evidences on Saturday.
The court was informed that superintendent-camp Jail and deputy superintendent, district jail, Lahore could not receive the court summons in time due to which they failed to appear. On this, the court re-summoned them for Friday.
The court was also informed that the traveller cheque recovered from the co-accused Nadeem and Shahzad is in the custody of bank staff at Sohawa from where the accused had been arrested.
Moharir, Mohammad Riaz of CIA, Qila Gujjar Singh informed the court that DSP Masood Aziz had handed over eight parcels to him on different dates, and he handed over these parcels to ASI Tanvir Javed to submit to the chemical examiner.
But the return of the parcels was not mentioned in the register whereas it was also informed that ASI Saeed Akbar submitted the parcels to the chemical examiners instead of Tanvir Javed and over-writing was also found in the registers.
Chief prosecutor Burhan Moezam Malik, special prosecutor, Asghar Khan Bokhari and defence counsels Faisal Najib Chaudhry and Abdul Baqi cross-examined the witnesses. APP
