Lahore: The Federal Republic of Germany has presented an atomic absorption spectro photometer to the Pakistan Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) Laboratories, Lahore, for determination of toxic metals present in the industrial waste water.

The equipment was handed over to PCSIR Laboratories in a ceremony held here on Wednesday.

The head of the Press and Culture Section of the German Embassy in Pakistan Helmut Landes was present in the ceremony.

He said the specific equipment was presented to PCSIR by Alexander Von Humbldt Foundation on the meritorious services in research of environment biotechnology made by scientist Dr Mohammad Iqbal of PCSIR in Germany.

The ceremony was attended among others by Councillor of German Consulate Kroderus, PCSIR chairman Dr.Misbah-ul-Ain, PCSIR Director General Mansoor Ahmed and others.
