CE arrives in Quetta

QUETTA: Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf was warmly welcomed here on Tuesday evening on his arrival on a two-day visit to Balochistan. First to greet him at the airport was provincial Governor Mr Justice Amir-ul-Mulk Mengal (Retd) followed by two federal ministers Dr Malik Kassi and Begum Zubeda Jalal, Corns Commander Lt Gen Mushtaq Hussain, Provincial Chief Secretary Maj Ashraf Nassar (Retd), senior civil and military officers.

Soon after his arrival, he held a high-level meeting with the governor, members of his cabinet and took stock of the latest position in the province.

After an overnight stay, Chief Executive would fly to Zhob on Wednesday morning. During his about four hours stay, General Musharraf would visit Zhob Garrison, where he would meet officers and jawans. It would be followed by his meeting with a cross section of people including tribal chiefs, teachers and farmers.

Later General Musharraf would fly to Sibi, where he would inaugurate the historic tribal and farmers festival, industrial and agricultural exhibition, and would also meet delegations drawn from different walks of life to make on the spot study of the people's problems.
