IPRA sets up golden words award
KARACHI: International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has instituted golden words awards for excellence in public relations.
This was announced here on Monday by Ziaul Islam Zuberi, a member of IPRA.
The awards would be given in the field of overall institutional/public service/public affairs/issue management/emergency/community relation/employee relation/investor relation/marketing/special event under eight days/special event eight days or more/environmental/arts etc.
Zuberi said that a special United Nations award will also be given for a public relations campaign with a social purpose. A research award will be given to an entry that demonstrates outstanding use of research in development and evaluation of the programme.
The frontline 21 awards will be given to a creative entry from an organisation in a country where public relations is still developing.
The IPRA grand prize of excellence will be given to the individual entry adjudged to have demonstrated the highest standard of competence.
The entries will be adjudicated by an international panel of senior practitioners and international media.
The last date for entry is March 31, 2000, it was further stated. APP
