GSP discovers radio active minerals in Sindh

QUETTA: The Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP) has discovered the presence of radio active minerals in the horizon above them that coal bed in Sindh.

According to official confirmation here on Monday, the GSP has issued a report after initial study. The occurrence is now under detailed study by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission.

Good quality kaolin in the cores of Thar coalfield has also been identified and studied by the GSP. It is also under detailed examination for possible exploration and exploitation for economic, industrial and commercial use.
