The conference attended by the corps commanders and principal staff officers, reviewed the prevailing geo-strategic environment, the situation along the borders, Line of Control, working boundary and other matters of national security.

Detailed discussions were held on the external and internal security situation, governance and the monitoring mechanism.

The participants were of the view that while overall improvement in governance had been registered throughout the country, there was a need to further enhance the efficiency of the monitoring system at both federal and provincial levels. The need for a separate system of monitoring at the urban and rural areas and improvement of the performance of complaint cells set up in various governmental departments by the monitoring mechanism to redress public grievance also came under discussion.

Addressing the corps commanders, the chief executive expressed his satisfaction that the armed forces were providing all possible assistance to the government in its aim of good governance without compromising on operational preparations in any manner.

Ñ Compliance of traffic rules and regulations.

Ñ Ease in registration provision of national identity card, licences, passport, etc.
