QCCI team leaves for Saudi Arabia

KARACHI: A 9-member delegation from Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) sponsored by Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has left for Saudi Arabia and UAE, it is officially stated here on Sunday. The delegates during their visit to Saudi Arabia will also participate in the Saudi Food Fair at Jeddah. EPB is officially participating from February 20 to 24, displaying food items, fresh fruits and vegetables and dry fruits.

The delegation will conduct three market studies in the Kingdom to promote export of apples and dry fruits from Balochistan to Saudi Arabia.

The delegation will depart for Dubai on February 28, where a comprehensive programme has been prepared by Pakistani Commercial Counsellor.

The delegation prior to its departure was briefed by Syed Masood Alam Rizvi, Vice-Chairman and other officials of EPB. Rizvi impressed upon the delegates to fully utilise the efforts of Pakistani commercial section in UAE to make their visit successful and meaningful which will eventually lead to export of fresh fruits from Pakistan.

The delegation was also told that on return, a debriefing session will be held so as to ascertain the outcome and to follow up on the recommendations to be submitted by the leader of the delegation.ÑAPP
