EFP convention

KARACHI: On the eve of its golden jubilee Employers' Federation of Pakistan is holding a two-day national employers' convention here on February 22 & 23.

Theme of the convention is "Enterprise Development and Employment Promotion-Challenges in the New Millennium". Seven important topics have been selected in which employers and enterprises would face challenges in the new millennium.

Sindh Governor Air Marshal Azim Daudpota (Retd) would honour the inaugural session while Federal Minister for Labour, Umer Asghar Khan would be chief guest at the concluding session on February 23.

A number of experts besides representatives from International Labour Organisation (ILO) are scheduled to present their papers.

Delegates from national and multinational organisations, and trade bodies/associations throughout the country are expected to participate in the programme.

The recommendations/resolutions would be adopted for forwarding future strategies and would be submitted to the government.ÑAPP
