Business slackens on Jodia Bazar

KARACHI: Business slackened, somewhat, on Friday on Jodia Bazar where prices maintained steady trend. Variations were restricted to only plastic mouldings and chemicals.

PLASTIC MOULDINGS: HDPE injection Ladene 200056 rose sharply by Rs 2 to Rs 31, Thai gained Rs 1.25 to Rs 30, and Escorene was up by Rs 2 to Rs 31. Polypropylene film Thai rose by Re 1 to Rs 25.50, Indonesia was up by Rs 1.13 to Rs 25.50, and Kuwait up by Rs 1.50 to Rs 25.50. Polypropylene tapegrade Delim rose by Rs 1.63 to Rs 25.25, Yuplene gained same amount to Rs 25.25, Thai was higher by Rs 1.63 to Rs 25.25 and Saudia rose by Rs 1.38 to Rs 25. Polypropylene injection grade Saudia rose by Rs 1.50 to Rs 25.25, Yuplene was up by same amount to Rs 25.25, Delim up by Rs 1.50 to Rs 25.25, and Hanwa up by same amount to Rs 25.25. Polystyrene high impact Polyrex PH88 rose by 50 paisa to Rs 34, MC 59 was up by Rs 2 to Rs 34 and Saudia rose by Re 1 to Rs 34. Polystyrene GP rose by Rs 55 to Rs 1695.

CHEMICALS: Formic acid China dropped 50 paisa to Rs 48, from Pakistan rose by Rs 2.50 to Rs 44 and from Germany was up by Rs 1.60 to Rs 49. Oxalic acid China was down by Rs 2 to Rs 29. Sulphonic acid China was up by Rs 9 to Rs 70. Sitara caustic soda flakes dropped Rs 1.45 to Rs 23.80.
