British Council award ceremony

Lahore: The British Council Examination Services, Lahore is arranging an award ceremony for the high achievers of the General Certificate of Education (GCE) O- and A-Level, Examination-1999, on February 23.

Dr. Fred Burke, Regional Director, Cambridge International Examinations and Elizabeth Lowen, Operations Manager, Edexcel London International Examinations will be presenting the awards at the ceremony. Honorary British Council Fakir Syed Aijazuddin will be the chief guest at the ceremony.

At the 1999-High Achievers' Award Ceremony, the British Council has announced that Ammara Aziz had achieved the great distinction of being awarded top marks in the whole world in O-Level Chemistry.

This year's results are even more spectacular in which two students from Lahore have come 'top of the world' in A-Level Business Studies and English Literature, respectively.
