Javed Jabbar meets Tarar
ISLAMABAD: President, Mohammad Rafique Tarar said on Thursday the enhanced importance gained by media in current times, demands it highlights the country's point of view both at national and international level in an effective manner.
He was talking to Chief Executive's Adviser on Information and National Affairs, Javed Jabbar who called on him here at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The President said modern information technology should be made part of general syllabus education, along with the efforts of making our media a true representative of Pakistan's ideology and culture.
He appreciated the role of Radio and Television in highlighting the Kashmir issue.
Javed Jabbar, on this occasion, presented a book relating to media to the President. He also briefed the President about the government's media policy. APP
