Govt urged to settle Al-Hadeed market issue

LAHORE: The Senior Vice-President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Sheikh Muhammad Asif, has urged the Punjab Government to ensure settlement of the Al-Hadeed Market issue at the earliest through negotiations with the traders.

In a statement he alleged that the traders of Al-Hadeed Market were being treated discriminatorily, which had caused disappointment amongst them.

He said that the market was closed for the last 22 days and business was suffering.

He claimed that the traders of the market had paid Rs 90 million on self-help basis for the construction of a road in front of the market, but the road was still in a pathetic condition.

He urged the government to look into the matter and resolve the issue.
