Auqaf officials asked to ensure better facility to visitors

Lahore: Secretary Auqaf Punjab, Syed Shafiq Hussain has directed the officials of his department to ensure the provision of better facilities to the pilgrims and namazis who visit various mosques and shrines.

Presiding over a meeting of the Auqaf Department on Thursday, he directed the concerned officials to discharge their duties honestly, sincerely and with religious spirit. He warned that corrupt officials would be dealt with an iron hand.

He further directed them to keep a close watch on the property of the department and properly utilise their available resources in order to retrieve public property from the illegal occupants and demolish encroachments.
