LAHORE: Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf is likely to arrive in the provincial metropolis on a brief visit on Friday morning.

According to official sources, he will attend a briefing at Pakistan Railways Headquarters. He will be briefed about the affairs of the Railways by Chairman Javed Ashraf and General Manager Railways Iqbal Samad.

The Head of the Railways Monitoring Team will also brief the Chief Executive about the team's performance to regularise the affairs of the institution, sources added.

Later, he will also undertake a visit of the Lahore railway station to see himself the facilities being provided to the commuters.

Meanwhile, hectic activity was seen at the Railways Headquarters on Wednesday, where officials were busy to prepare for the briefing. Special cleanliness measures have also been taken at the Headquarters.
