17 BS 21 officers of IT group to be promoted

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to promote BS-21 officers of Income Tax (IT) Group, sources said here on Friday.

The officers are waiting for their promotion for the last several years.

Sources said that 17 officers of IT group would be considered for their promotion to BS-22 subject to availability of posts.

These officers include Salman Asghar Mian, Member, Monoply Control Authority; Aftab Iqbal Rathore, Member, Audit CBR; Syed Shaukat Ali Zaidi, OSD, Southern Region, Karachi; Asad Arif, Member (DT), CBR; Sh Mohammad Munir, Member, ITSC, Lahore; Jameel Ahmad Bhutto, Member (Tax Policy), CBR; Tariq Aziz, Principal Secretary to the Chief Executive; A.R. Afridi, Member, ITAT, Peshawar; M Sarwar Khawaja, Member, IT (Judicial) CBR; M Mahboob Alam, Member, ITAT Karachi; S Mohsin Akhtar, Member ITAT, Lahore; Khalid Mahmood, on deputation to Wapda; S.M. Sibtain, Member, ITAT Karachi; Ashfaq Ahmad, Director, Staff College, Lahore on deputation; Shariq Mahmood, RCIT, Central Region Multan; Farooq Ahmad Malik, DG (DOT), Lahore; and Ahmad Khan, Member, Monoply Control Authority.
