ISLAMABAD: There is no proposal to put some 10,000 employees of the Federal Government in the surplus pool of the Establishment division.

A spokesman of the Establishment division told APP that such reports appearing in section of press are baseless and misleading.

He, however, said that at present, about 600 employees of various grades are in the surplus pool and would be accommodated as and when posts are available on priority basis.

To a question about rightsizing, he said that establishment division has asked the ministries and divisions to prepare lists of employees, sanctioned and vacant posts against the existing strength of their employees.ÑAPP
