Celebi switches over to Mercator's departure control system

KARACHI: Turkey's leading airport ground handling company, Celebi Ground Handling Inc, is now operating on a new and enhanced departure control system, the Mercator Airport Control System (MACS). MACS has been implemented at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport by Mercator, the Dubai-based provider of software and systems for the aviation industry and the IT subsidiary of Emirates Group.

Celebi joins a customer list that includes Emirates, Sri Lankan Airlines and Gefrry's Dnata of Pakistan. The contract was signed in December last year between Celebi's Managing Director, Murat Onder Ozturk, and Emirates' Chief Director Group Services, Gary Chapman.ÑPR
