KABUL: A bomb exploded on Wednesday outside the interior ministry in the Afghan capital, smashing windows in nearby buildings but causing no casualties, Taliban officials said.

Officials at the ministry said it was a terrorist act.

"This was the job of the enemies of the Islamic Emirate," one official said.

Taliban have won control over most of Afghanistan since seizing the capital nearly four years ago but are still waging a bitter war against opposition forces in the country's northeast.ÑAFP
