City Bus launched 50 pc of Mazda T3500 deletion achieved, says SEL MD

KARACHI: Brigadier Tariq Khalil, Managing Director Sindh Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. (SEL), on Wednesday said that the company has achieved around 50 percent deletion programme in Mazda T3500 vehicles with the help of the principals, Mazda Motor Corporation.

Briefing newsmen at the launch of a newly designed model of bus with the name of 'City Bus' at a local hotel, he said that the company had met its budgeted target and earned pre-tax profit of Rs 14.879 million and gross profit of Rs 71.688 million and declared a dividend of 45 percent.

He said the SEL had paid Rs 202.1 million in various duties and taxes in the last one year and Rs 1,461.1 million in the last ten years. The company during the last six months earned record profit of Rs 17.635 million.

He said that the company tried to accommodate the views of its customers to improve its products and the City Bus is the manifestation of the same.

The City Bus will offer safety, comfort to commuters to get in and out. The bus is available at a very affordable price of Rs 11,30,000 only.

He said another attractive feature of the City Bus was the easy and countrywide availability of spare parts. Since Mazda City Bus is indigenously manufactured and perfected to automotive pinnacle by high profile professionals at Sindh Engineering, the spare parts availability is taken care of all over the country.

He claimed that the level of comfort and spacious inner seating were unparalleled in any such bus on the road.
