LAHORE: Punjab Forest Department will hold a four-day workshop on 'Forestry in 21 century' from April 24 to 27.

Forest Department officials from various cities of the province will attend the workshop along with the forest experts from other provinces, Punjab Forest Department sources said on Monday.

The objective of the workshop is to find new avenues for the forest sector development and consider proposals for formulation of a comprehensive forest policy with the consultation of all the concerned quarters, sources said.

Representatives of wood based industrialists are also being invited to the workshop to figure out the future demand of wood in the province, they said, adding that invitations are also being extended to more than 100 farmers dealing with agro-forestry to share their experience in this regard.ÑAPP
