Boat tragedy:

two more bodies

recovered

GUJRAT: The bodies of two more victims of the boat capsize tragedy in river Chenab at Kot Ghulam Pattan near Jalalpur Jattan, were recovered in the rescue/recovery operation which continued into the sixth day on Monday.

The two bodies have been detected after a two-day pause, bringing the toll to 18.

District administration met with some 50 survivors for help in tracing the missing persons. The ADCG pulled out the ill-fated boat from the river under supervision of the Deputy Commissioner and SSP Gujrat.

Meanwhile, a 'plough' operation was started on Sunday to recover any body stuck in the sand, while water flow 'jerk' operation is also underway. DSP City is operating from the site of the tragic accident to Khanki headworks.ÑAPP
