National conf on sugar industry on 8th

KARACHI: The Institution of Engineers Pakistan and Resource Development Foundation are holding the first national conference on sugar industry on April 8 and 9 at Carlton Hotel, Karachi.

The two-day conference will cover such topics as structure of sugar industry in Pakistan, its problems and remedies and prospects for exports. The conference will also deliberate on by-products and performance of Sugar Industry in other countries.

Keeping in view the present unstable situation in our sugar industry, the conference will provide ample opportunity to assemble all the stake holders at one place to discuss and talk freely on the problems facing the industry, suggest ways and means for over-coming the crises keeping in view the limitations of all the parties concerned. The conference will also provide an opportunity to government planners and policy makers to assess the present situation of the industry for formulating both short term and long term policies.

The Institution of Engineers Pakistan and Resource Development Fund held first national conference on cement industry in August last year.
