KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner South, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqi, has said that timely pointation of problems and liaison with public has brought improvement in the performance of government organisations.

This has also resulted in a decline in problems of people as well as restoring public confidence in government departments, he said at an open kutchery at Kutiana memon Association Hall, Kharadar.

He said that better arrangements would be made for maintenance of sanitary conditions, supply of water and electricity, etc.

The Deputy Commissioner advised the people to be alert and on guard during Muharramul Haram so as to thwart any attempt of subversion.

He asked the people to maintain vigil on their surroundings and in case they spot any suspicious article, immediately inform the police and administration.

He directed the police and administration officials at the open kutchery to make advance arrangements of water and electricity supply as well as proper sanitary conditions in district South and specially Kharadar, Mithadar, Lyari, Agra Taj Colony and other surrounding areas.

He directed the Xens of KWSB to keep visiting their respective areas for redress of public complaints and submit reports based on factual conditions.

the Deputy Commissioner issued directive to police officials for action against vagabonds in the area, particularly around girls schools and colleges as well as against heroin adicts at Machhi Miani market and growing theft cases.

The sewerage and health officials were told to clear garbage dumps in front of Custom House and take practical steps for cleaning of sewerage lines and gutters in the area.ÑAPP
