Indian firing kills old woman, wounds four

MUZAFFARABAD: Continued Indian shelling from across the LoC killed an old woman, and injured four others, police said on Sunday.
Police chief, southern district Kotli ,Raja Mohammed Azhar said that a 60-year-old woman, identified as Zanat Bibi, wife of Allah Ditta, injured by Indian firing in Dabsi village of Nakial sector on Sunday, succumbed to her injuries on way to hospital.
Two others, identified as Naseem Akthar daughter of Mohammed Marouf, 20, and Mohammed Shoukat son of Mohammed Asghar, 30, were critically wounded by Indian shells in Balakot and Datot border villages of Nakial sector on Saturday evening.
Injured were admitted to district headquarters hospital Kotli.
Indian army on Saturday fired heavy artillery and mortar shells on Ashkot, Salkhala, Palri and Terban border villages of Aathmuqam sector of northern Neelum valley on Saturday injuring two old women who were identified as Zaver Jan 60, wife of Mohammed Hanif and Zalekha Bibi, 55, wife of Mohammed Akbar were wounded by splinters.
They were admitted to MDS Jhimber.
