Dear Sirs / Madam,
Quarterly Electronic Banking Statistics (On-line funds transfer)
Reference is made to our Circular no. 2/2003 dated May 30, 2003 regarding the monitoring of e-banking services; consequent upon which all commercial banks are required to submit their e-banking statistics on quarterly basis to Payment Systems Department. One of the required information is the number and amount of the “On-line funds transfer (excluding ATM) transactions”.
It has come to our knowledge that
few banks are reporting the cash based transactions along with transfer (non-cash)
transactions in the head of on-line funds transfer transactions. Whereas, the
On-line funds transfers should contain only the account-to-account transfer
transactions i.e., non-cash transactions
Banks are advised to kindly make note of the above while reporting the figures.
Banks are also requested to correct the figures already reported, if necessary.
