CHAPTER XVII FOOTNOTES

Attention of the Authorised Dealers is invited to Para 44, Chapter XVII of the Foreign
Exchange Mannual (7th Edition - 1992) in terms of which they are invariably
required to mention the place and date of issue in the travellers cheques. The Authorised
Dealers are also required to ensure that travallers cheques are invariably signed
personally by the applicant in the presence of the Authorised Dealer. It is once again
emphasized on the Authorised Dealers that the aforemantioned instructions should strictly
be followed.
The words "once - in - two calendar years" has been
substituted by F.E. Cir. No. 5 dated 2nd April 1999.
