Dear Sirs,
Amendment in Bearer National Fund Bonds Rule 1985
The Federal Government vide its Notification dated 3rd
December 2003 (Copy enclosed) has omitted Rule 3-A of Bearer National Fund Bonds
1985 which read as under: -
Rule 3-A “No claim of any nature will be entertained in case any (BNFB
Rules 1985 Bond is lost, stolen, destroyed, mutilated or burnt”. Amended 1992)
After omission of the above Rules, the holders of Bearer National Fund Bonds
shall be able to lodge a claim for issuance of duplicate certificates in lieu of
lost, stolen, destroyed, mutilated or burnt certificates as per procedure
specified in Public Debt Act, 1944 and Public Debt Rules, 1946.
