Provisions of the Act extended to the payment of wages to persons employed in any:--

(b) of the following industrial establishments in Karachi:-
(i) Tramways or motor omnibus services.
(ii) Workshops or other establishments in which articles are produced, adopted or manufactured with a view to their use, transport or sale, vide Noti. No. E.S.O. Kar/39/50/1594, 16 May, 1950-Gazette of Pakistan, Part I, May 12 1950, p. 66.
(c) dock, wharf or jetty within the limits of the port of Karachi-LC-2 (4)/149, 10 September, 1956, Gazette of Pakistan, Part I, Section I, 21 September, 1951, p. 545.
(d) salt mines and salt quarries vide LR-8 (6/48.28 March, 1949.
(e) Mines in Pakistan vide No. LR-8 (10)/49-7 July, 1949.
